hi folks,
i need solutions for following things :
1) How can i change the refresh rate of the x server ?? Under windows with the same resolution i get a refresh rate of 90 Hz, but under Linux I only got 75 Hz
2) Why can't i su from the kde console ?? I tried several times...i don't thing i mistyped anything..
3) How can i display my screen through the tv-out of my nvidia card ??

1. search http://www.zaph.com/Modeline/ and read the documentation carefuly! (it is hard work to destroy a modern monitor, but murphy lurks around any corner )
2.
search the forum (as you are supposed to do anyway before posting)

ok...already found the thread for the su-command. Just one comment: How about adding this to the desktop-guide ?? Then there won't be so many questions regarding this...
And about the refresh-problem:
What parameters do i have to add (i guess i could destroy my screen . Here are the details i know about my screen:
I want a resolution of 1152x864 (got a frequency of 85 hz under windows)
Horizontal: 27.0-86.0kHz,Vertikal: 50-160Hz
What about the other fields ?? Blanking, Ratios, what do i have to add there ?? And should i add the maximum value there (86.0 and 160.0) ?? |
