Hi,

I might be forgetting something silly, but I can't for the life of me get xmms to play some audio cd's at all.. I have a scsi cd-rw drive which I use quite fine to burn cd's and everything else.

I have iso9660 support loaded and I load xmms but I can't gain access to any of the tracks on the audio cd no matter where I look in xmms.

I can't mount the audio cd obviously as there is no rebook support in linux.

Argh, frustration!

The audio cd plugin seems to be setup fine in xmms preferences too.

I load my scsi burner with modules.
I have /dev/cdroms/cdrom0

Oh well, any help is appreciated.

Sorry, I wasn't thinking. Forget about xmms-cdread.

See the XMMS Documentation, specifically section 3.6.1.1. That should solve your problem.

It seems as though xmms-cdread might be necessary, no matter what I do.. I followed the xmms doc's, I can't get xmms to read my audio cd's and play the tracks.

make sure your cdrom can be mounted by users (or whoever the intended users are). If root can see the Track.data, then this might be the solution.
