|
|
Hi,
I might be forgetting something silly, but I can't for the life of me get xmms to play some audio cd's at all.. I have a scsi cd-rw drive which I use quite fine to burn cd's and everything else.
I have iso9660 support loaded and I load xmms but I can't gain access to any of the tracks on the audio cd no matter where I look in xmms.
I can't mount the audio cd obviously as there is no rebook support in linux.
Argh, frustration!
The audio cd plugin seems to be setup fine in xmms preferences too.
I load my scsi burner with modules.
I have /dev/cdroms/cdrom0
Oh well, any help is appreciated. |

Sorry, I wasn't thinking. Forget about xmms-cdread.
See the XMMS Documentation, specifically section 3.6.1.1. That should solve your problem. |

It seems as though xmms-cdread might be necessary, no matter what I do.. I followed the xmms doc's, I can't get xmms to read my audio cd's and play the tracks. |

make sure your cdrom can be mounted by users (or whoever the intended users are). If root can see the Track.data, then this might be the solution. |
