Hell yes, I long for human's to be like they are in ST. Not that I watch any other ST except for VOY and Enterprise..

I'd definately not turn down being on Voyager. Working in engineering with B'Elanna would be awesome! Add being alcove-mates with 7of9, and you have the perfect life!

I would go on a spaceship but not to the starfleet. Here is my plan:

I hire 10 samurais
buy 11 super modern katanas so sharp they can cut through metall (should be possible in 24th century)
rent an old freighter and load the samurai in there
fly out on space and meet a borg cube
beam on the cube (they dont consider me threatfull so they dont attack me)
slaughter all borgs with the katanas (they go through the shields and those idiots only use meele weapons)
take over controll over the cube and adapt it to my needs so that humans can live there.
dominate the alpha-quadrant, since a cube is totally overpowered and voyager didn't bring their future technology to earth yet

muahahaha

P.S. OK domination is pretty exhausting and I am too kind hearted for this. So I think I would just kill some bad guys who everyone else is afraid of, take their money or whatever and have a nice living.

i would work on converting the systems from windows to linux, redesign and rebuild the security (so it works over 10% of the time) and make personal holodecks in every cabin ... then we could all have 7of9!
