Esiste un qualcosa che permetta di eseguire operazioni prima e dopo il termine dell'emerge?

l'idea è quella di stoppare xscreensaver all'avvio di un emerge e rilanciarlo al termine (mangia molta meno cpu)

anche a me servirebbe sapere come si fanno cose del genere... in particolare vorrei che al termine di un'emersione lo speaker del sistema emettesse un po' di beep per segnalarmelo... avevo pensato di fare cosi':
1. emergo beep
2. creo un alias
3. emerge <...> && <nome_alias>
ma è un workaround... |

ho guardato il man portage e il man emerge e anche il man make,conf ma niente di utile

non potresti abbassare la nice dello screensaver, ossia dargli meno priorità?
per quanto riguarda l'emerge col beep puoi fare
oppure fare uno scriptino

Penso che portage non possieda una funzione del genere. Secondo me ti devi fare uno script.

Ma funziona! A me mi spara a tutto volume la sigla di Lupin però... effettivamente sullo stile puoi migliorare
