A WHOLE lot less and it is very fast.
you are correct in saying that people are having problems w/ it. I noticed that too. But, I used to run KDE and I switched only about a week ago and let me tell ya man, it's awesome. really. Just try and see.
all you have to do is emerge fluxbox and type fluxbox in your .xinitrc file. (if you don't have one, create it).
type startx and you are on your way.
if you don't like it you can just delete .xinitrc or the fluxbox command and you will be back to normal. |

Windowmaker == phenomenal.
Even when it crashes (maybe once a month) you don't lose anything - you get a little box that says "restart window maker" and it puts you right back where you were, no programs closed, no data lost, nothing. Takes about two seconds. (And looks pretty cool, too)
The way software should be.

Blackbox is another good low resource window manager. |

Does anyone know how to make Fluxbox "remember" window positions/sizes? That's my 1 complaint, otherwise, I reall like it. |

Isn't there an option in the Config menu? _________________ All for one and one for All

If there is, I don't see it. The settings under config look more like what to do with new windows, or by default. |
