I am a newbe attempting to install apache2, php, and mysql on an xbox running gentoo.
I followed the instructions at:
http://wiki.gentoo-portage.com/HOWTO_Apache2_with_PHP_MySQL
but when I execute:
# /etc/init.d/apache2 start
nothing happens. If I run
# /usr/sbin/apache2
the webserver will work but I do not get php support.
How can I get /etc/init.d/apache2 start to actually start the service?
Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks
edit:
The problem has been fixed. All I had to do was reboot the machine. Everything works fine now. |
