hi there I have run MAKEDEV -v hdi which created all the device files for me, but I can't still fdisk or run pvcreate which complains about not having size.
Do I need to update /dev in some way ?
I tried running MAKEDEV -d hdi but got this error message
/MAKEDEV: major_cpu/msr=202: No such file or directory
/MAKEDEV: major_cpu/cpuid=203: No such file or directory
I have cpuid and msr compiled into the kernel, but I only 0-29 in /dev/cpu not 202 or 203 if anyone have any thoughts I would be most gratefull. |

Are you using devfs? Pretty much all of the Gentoo documentation and maybe some init scripts assume so. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |
