hi all
in a moment of craziness i set my keyboard wrong in the install and now i can't login (with a view to changing it) because my keymap is screwed. i use a standard ps/2 keyboard with an adaptor which, i believe, make the sun think its a proper sun keyboard. unfortunately i forgot this and set my keynap to 'us' rather than keeping it as 'sunkeymap' (or whatever it originally was).
how can i get back and change this, it was working fine as i installed? i booted from the live cd (where my keyboard plays ball again) and mounted the root partition but /etc/rc.conf looks like the original prior to me altering it so i'm not sure what i'm looking at.
cheers

alright thanks, sorted. if anyone else wants to know for future...
have to mount /dev/hda1 onto something other than / (think the livecd takes that), so i put it on /mnt/gentoo/. i could then access my rc.conf thru /mnt/gentoo/etc/rc.conf.
only problem is i think it has scrambled my root password now
sorry to waste posting space.
