Cokehabit does your mum let you accept lifts from total strangers met on the internet! I live in Surrey nearest railway station Epsom and intend to drive to Oxford.

yes she does. My uncle lives in surrey but in croydon (addiscombe) so it wouldn't be too hard to meet up, we could split the petrol

Good idea. I got to the Linux expo last year and realised I didn't know what any of the people I was meeting looked like. I was able to look at people's name tags there. I think walking around a pub asking "Are you metal leper?" or whatever could seem a bit weird. LOL!
