|
|
I made a live cd w/ smbd, nmbd, smb.conf, and 2 libs that samba would't start w'out. I manually copied the necessary files since merge samba w/ ROOT pointing to the livecd dir needed almoast the entire system package as deps. Too much, imo.
When i boot the live cd
# pci-setup
# net-setup eth0
# smbd -D; nmbd -D
no samba. no errors, but no shares accessable to the outside world, and no smbd or nmbd listed w/ ps -aux.
Tips?
/me wonderes if -march athlon.thunderbird is the problem. Testbed is K6. i'll copy over the files form a k6 instead. _________________ Aim:gsfgf0 |

it was dieing when it tried to open /var/run/samba/smbd.pid
If you add samba mke sure to crate the /var/run/samba/ dir. _________________ Aim:gsfgf0 |
