Hi all
My problems started after doing an
Code:
emerge -u world

It stoped in the middle of that by saying that glibc 2.3 was not found and that is was required by bash and sh. After that I could do nothing. All programs where dead. The only thing I could do was to reboot the system manually.
After that the computer started to restart and went into a Kernel Panic trying to kill init.
So what do I do?
I think that I have to reinstall gentoo :(

Have you tried using the install cd (just use it to boot of it and enable and mount all partitions)
and chroot into youre system and oh checking the path as well just in case (echo $PATH),

then running emerge -u world again?

Mark

Yes I have tried that but I get stuck when I try to chroot.
I get the following error:
/bin/bash: /lib/libc.so.6: version 'GLIBC_2.3' not found (required by /bin/bash)
