|

How do you do this? Ordinarily you click the upper left hand corner and pick "To desktop -> #", but with XMMS the upper left hand menu is XMMS's own menu, not KDE's. Right now the way I'm doing it is to close XMMS in one desktop and opening it in another. But it would save so much time if I could just move it to another desktop. |

The easiest way is to right-click on xmms' entry in the taskbar, and move it to another desktop via that menu. |

Two main ways to do that - while the main xmms window is focused, press CTRL+S, or right click on it's title bar and select Sticky. Then, when you switch desktops, the xmms window will follow you.

Control Panel ->
Look and Feel ->
Shortcuts
Make sure the "Global Shortcuts" tab is selected at the top.
Look for the "Windows & Desktop" section. There should be two entries:
Window to Next Desktop
Window to Previous Desktop
Assign some shortcut keys to those two actions.
Then when XMMS (or any other window) has the cursor focus, use the shortcut keys.
Takes a little bit of setup, but MUCH MUCH faster than using the mouse. |
