Sleep mode?

I'd like my machine to go into sleep mode occasionally

How do I set this up? I'm using 1.4rc1 and GNOME.

Hi,
after emerging pmud get a commandline anf say snooze:
zappa $ snooze
or even better write a desktop entry like this KDE one:

just have a look into one of your Gnome entries and you should be off.
