I have usb enabled in my kernel, installed libusb and hotplug, and I made sure to start hotplug, but the software reports:

Code:
npsh: USB initialization failed

Specifically the cable is a pl-2301 usb-to-usb cable. Im using it to connect to a playstation 2 console with npsh and naplink.
