Hi!
Is there another destination than modules.autoload where kernel-modules are loaded? I tried to compile emu10k1 and when i want to do a insmod emu10k1 i get the message that the module is already loaded (i haven't got it in my modules.autoload). I tried both the ebuild and the .tar.gz sources from emu10k1 and both failed (they did work before i recompiled my kernel - i haven't got any special sound support and a cat /proc/pci tells me that there is a Live! sound card with emu10k1 support ).

solved the problem!
You have to compile ES1371 into the kernel for emu10k1. Now it works again .
