Pinnacle PCTV not registered on PCI bus on Ultra10

since the bttv driver doesn't work on my my ultra10 (tried kernel 2.4.27, 2.6.6, 2.6.7, 2.6.9rc4), i thought maybe a different video card chip would.
so, i bought a pinnacle pctv which uses the SAA7134.
but unfortunately, the card doesn't even register on the pci bus on boot!
neither openboot nor the linux pci subsystem reported any multimedia controller, even with the card in different slots, no/other cards installed and so on.
does anyone have a clue what's going on here? wrong voltage on the pci bus (no 3.3/5v support?)? no irq assigned because of technical flaws? special firmware/bios needed?
as far as i can see, there's no rom chip on the card.

on the other hand, if anyone got a wintv pci (or any other video card) working in a ultra5/10 - please tell me.
it would be really nice to have a video input on my sun (that would save me carrying my x86 bigtower or a tv set around)
