adding the gnome menu to kde

Hi,

I've been trying to make the gnome menus show up in kde (the kde menus show up in gnome just fine). Does anyone know how to do this? all i could come up with when i searched google was "use kmenuedit" but that didn't seem to help.

I notice that when i make changes to /etc/X11/applnk (changes here should appear under both kde *and* gnome menus for all users as per http://articles.linuxguru.net/view/137?PHPSESSID=c0a80202xwKS), the changes only appear in gnome and not kde.

does anyone have gnome menus under kde? maybe i somehow built kde with my USE set to "-gnome" or something...
