What's the difference between:
1) a stage 1 install
&
2) a stage 3 install, then emerge -uD world |

The stage 3 uses prebuilt binaries and updates the 'out of date' ones, and also requires less commands. (slightly). |

Hehe...yeah I know, not to mention less likelyhood of being borked. At time I reformat & do a stage 3 w/ emerge -uD world. I was just wondering, besides the aesthics of doing a stage 1, is there a diff. |
