where can i find, or how can i use gnome applet in Gnome 2???? The is a tray icon plugin in the preferences menu, but i don't know how to make it work, i did enable it, but it does nothing.
I have tried both gaim-059.6 and gaim-cvs. |

Add To Panel->Utility->Notification Area 
That will get it! If you don't have that and you are running something lower than gnome 2.1.2 then:
emerge system-tray-applet
As of gnome 2.1.2, it's built in, so if you have gnome 2.1.2 and this package is emerged, you will want to unmerge this package to avoid conflict.

I know it works with gaim-cvs....that's all I use.
