I'm trying to find the joystick utilities (jscal, jstest....) so I can verify that my joystick is working and that all the buttons are detected. I can't seem to find them using emerge -s . Anybody know if it is there or if there is any way to get it included in portage? These utilities have been around for a long time so it surprizes me that they aren't there (or I can't find them).
If you know of any other, possibly newer or better joystick utilities please let me know in this thread. |

well I emerged the libjsw package and while it doesn't have the jstest I was looking for, it does have jscalibration which is a gui program that shows what I need.
Funny thing, it showed my joystick as being very badly calibrated even though it works fine in games and never seemed to need calibration before (sidewinder 3d pro).
I'm still looking for those progeams though
Oh, on another similar subject, how do I create /dev/js1, /dev/js2 and so on? I currently only have /dev/js0 (/dev/input/js0). |
