The openbox-themes package in portage is just an old tarball off of Merry's site ...

Openbox theme sites I've collected so far ...

why don't all you themers just agree to submit all your themes to freshmeat. that saves the trouble of making a new site for themes and keeps them in one central place.

Some of us do not have Freshmeat accounts and prefer our own websites. Perhaps we could just have a listing of the websites or something instead of putting all of the themes on one page. That would save bandwidth and time.

Speaking of themes, I need to port some more of my Fluxbox themes to Openbox and maybe make a few brand new ones with different effects.... *marks on his todo list*

I don't even think freshmeat has an openbox section I could be wrong though and besides this site will contain openbox scripts created by the gentoo community as well and I know freshmeat doesn't have that

it would be nice if it was easy to submit stuff (i.e. no reg required) and if it was a central place for everything openbox related. Themes, Pipe Menus, maybe .Xdefaults and howto's as well.

What CMS would you guys recommend? e107 is not really easy to customize but it has nice features, like uploading files...

Hey folks,

I cruised threw this thread.. Not sure If you have someone to host this site but I would like to do it... I have a new found luv for open-box and think something like this would be great..

Not sure is this is to much but for all the people who create themes could have access to a cvs server on my system and I could set you up with an e-mail addy at whateverdomainwechose.org.

I think zope-plone rocks and has a super nice look to it for a web-front end... not to mention I already have it set up...

All have a these elements in place (smtp - imap, zope-plone, cvs-repository) alreay just no project to create / get involved in. Up time would be around 90% untill I get another pc to host from... maybe soon-er than later depending on how well the project went..

Well just another option, keep me posted and I could get it going..

We already have kdelook.org, gnomelook.org, and art.gnome.org. And if you can't get your mind around Openbox, then content yourself with a DE and shut up.

Or would you like me to flame every GNOME/KDE thread I can find on this forum?

Nothing's stopping the FVWM people from putting up their own config archive. Same with Ion. As for Ratpoison -- Ratpoison has themes?! Holy shit!.

Hey, I just compile the CVS, ie 0.70beta2 of Blackbox. Quick as the others 0.6% of ram. Really easy to understand config files, menu, blackboxrc. It is great the original is back. I for one will be supporting this even if I can only by testing and providing feedback to the developer. It is also striving to compatible with the freedesktop.org standards also.....
