Nope... I'm getting forbidden: Data files must be stored on the same site they are linked from.
A slight alteration to one of the links so I was linking from bzcat.4t.com turned up:
Permission denied: The extension is not currently supported by Freeservers.
E-mail it to me if you want - l33t_archer@hotmail.com
I can probably host it somewhere on the quiet |

i have been testing out Ingo's voluntary-preempt patch since -H4 and it is all fine except the fact that i can't get any network cards to work with it. i tried 8139too, via-rhine (this network driver stinks anyway), and i thnk i tried tulip too. has anyone experienced similiar difficulties? and in -T7 thorugh -U1 with all I2O stuff compiled has modules, the I2O modules all need undefined symbols. at least it is better than MontaVista's realtime patches, i couldn't even get those to boot. yeah so anyway anyone else having problems with the voluntary preempt? |

This is great! I'm glad somebody is working on this ..
But how about checking out http://www.hoochzone.com/vdr in the forums section, there is a Gentoo forum with a how-to setting up VDR
Everybody lately has to patch the kernel driver for the DVB card in order to use the Nexus-S / Technotrend DVB satellit cards. These are the best for *nix using it with VDR because it has hardware decoding and puts out everything on the tv screen out of the sat. card including EPG.
You would save so many people so many problems and especially time with a kernel source that had both LIRC and the patched drivers in.
my 2cents... I'd be downloading now for LIRC support if I didnt have to re-configure everything in that tutorial |

Well finally I get to play with it... thanks anyway bzcat, the patch worked perfectly (okay almost... fuzz 1 on one hunk ) and it's running stably here. Just recompiled the kernel for a brief stress test, and it came through fine.
deadmoo: No problems with 8139too since I'm posting this. |

can you post your kernel config? only the ingo related stuff please. maybe my configuration is too aggressive for the current state of the patch. |

I read on the chat-box on love-sources.org that the project is dead... that isn't true, is it? _________________ Non fa male! Non fa male! |
