I had 1.4rc1 running well for a while, then I started having some problems and decided to clean up and reinstall. I've had nothing but problems since. I still can't get kde to build, and have had problems with most builds i've tried to install.
Would it be better to just go with 1.2 so I would be using gcc 2.95? Would that be more stable and would I have less problems? I just want to come back to gcc 3.2 when all the packages get up to date and compile properly. _________________ Josh |

I have been running 1.4 for about 3 months on a cluster. I have been running with GCC 3.2 for about 2 of those months on the same cluster.
1.4 seems stable. I only had to re-boot the master node once (kernel update) and only had 1 crash on the nodes, in 3 months, but i was doing some pretty intensive stuff.
KDE will compile. KDE Multimedia will compile using -O2. |
