| The ebuild specifies a version 3.12.4, but the site that has the file being downloaded has updated to 3.12.5. Is there anything I can do locally to get the file changed to install it? |

Have you tried an rsync? I just did an emerge -f gnuserv (fetch files only) and that pulled down the correct versions. I'm wondering if you don't have the 3.12.5 version of the ebuild (or have an old version if it was buggy).
