File world corrotto o vuoto, che devo fare?


Se notate che mancheno pacchetti quando date:
Code:
emerge -uDp world

controllate che nel file /var/cache/edb/world quei pacchetti. Se non ci sono o il file e' vuoto potete ripristinarlo dando:
Code:
regenworld

Questo comando usa il file /var/log/emerge.log per andare a rigenerare il vostro world file. Il comando non funaziona se il file e' stato cancellato o state usando una versione instabile di portage. In questo caso potete usare il comando qpkg (dovete avere il pacchetto gentoolkit) per rigenerare il file:

qpkg -I -nc > /var/lib/portage/world

Questo generera' un world file con tutti i pacchetti installati. Dovrete poi rimuovere i pacchetti inutili a mano o con il dep script.
