When i try to exeucte quake.x11, or any other quake such as squake, i get this error message:
./quake.x11: no such file or directory
But ther is a quake.x11, i can do anything i want with it except running it..
What can I do? |

just type "quake" not ./quake. Bash will only look in the current directory for a script named "quake".
If it does exist, try "chmod +x quake" _________________ If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit. |

Nope, nothing works... Even if use chmod 777 quake, put it in /bin and run quake or ./quake |

did you emerge quake1 or download a tarball from somewhere? |

I downloaded tarballs from idsoftware, none of them works out for me. |

use the ebuild or download the source and build it yourself. id's binaries were built against libc5 which is fricking old and you don't have it. |
