After emerging portage, emerge doesn't work anymore. After touching /etc/make.globals the bare 'emerge' command gives no more errors but emerge rsync gives this:
Code: |
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/emerge", line 884, in ?
if myportdir[-1]=="/":
IndexError: string index out of range
|
And emerge -s apache gives me this:
Code: |
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/emerge", line 1171, in ?
searchinstance.execute()
File "/usr/bin/emerge", line 145, in execute
for package in self.treecache.getallnodes():
File "/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/portage.py", line 1905, in getallnodes
self.populate()
File "/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/portage.py", line 2477, in populate
os.chdir(self.portroot)
OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: ''

I must say i find emerge's error handling quite sad. They are just Python errors i assume. Can anyone give me a hint on how to correct my problem? _________________ 24 hours in a day, 24 bottles of beer in a case. Coincidence?
