i cant remeber the name of the file i need to put startkde in
so when i type startx at the prompt i get KDE not the nasty blue one
and i dont wanna use a display manager
anyone remember ? _________________ It only takes 4 muscles to bitch slap some MF upside the head ..... |

the files in /etc/X11/Sessions are possible choices to put in /etc/rc.conf under XSESSION=
example: XSESSION=kde-3.0
It was a little confusing for me at first, because the version number is apparently needed there... |

I think you can also edit your .xinitrc file in your home dir.
put something in in like this :
exec startkde
(startkde should be in your path)
