i'm using this 2.4.20-acpi-r6 kernel patch also having this prob with previous versions. battery support is compiled into kernel not as module.
how can i enable the battery? |

try this:
download the acpi-patch from the www.sourceforge.net site, patch the kernel (from www.kernel.org), configure and recompile it.
perhaps that helps

ACPI seems to be so new that many of the different versions (even though its a standard) aren't supported. I haven't tried the latest kernel patches, but my laptop wouldn't even boot with ACPI enabled. When 2.4.20 comes out I plan on giving it another try, hopefully it will have all the ACPI patches built in. If I were you I'd try checking (if they have one) the mailing list for the acpi sourceforge page, maybe they can help you out there. Good luck and report back _________________ open like a child's mind. |
