I'm running on amd64, and things seem to be going reasonably well, over, all, but it would sure be nice if we didn't have to deal with the problems from mixing and matching 32-bit and 64-bit binaries and libs. It seems like there ought to be some way to implement something in kernel to convert calls back and forth between one and the other so that things could be intermixed. Does anyone know if this is at all possible, and if so, if there's anyone in kernel development that has or plans to implement it? I mean, there's no rush, by any means, and I don't mind making due as I do now, but that'd be really slick.
