I installed mozilla in a 32-bit chroot environment and emerged netscape-flash, and it successfully did that and I did about:plugins and there it was... all ready to go. So I go to http://www.comcast.net .. flash loads, but it doesnt show anything, I can right click the white area's (where pictures show up if I run internet explorer w/ flash from windows) and I see the flashplayer options like Loop.. Play.. Settings..About, but no display....
Anybody..................................................
No im not going to emerge firefox-bin, I use the chroot for wine and xine because mixing 32-bit inside a 64-bit environment is just asking for trouble. _________________ -Kow |

If you're using gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.8-r4 try to downgrad or upgrade your kernel... 2.6.8-r4 has problems with flash.... (see bugzilla) _________________ Get a life...

Yea thanks, I figured that out. As soon as I started using the flash plugin I started getting stability issues and inevitably X crashed. Everything was running fine up to this point and this has happened after every gentoo install. Once I removed the flash plugin everything was fine. I'm not sure if this is in my case only or with anyone using the ATI xorg driver, which for occurs in any xorg version. _________________ -Kow |
