then
modprobed it and ...

/lib/modules/2.4.19/kernel/drivers/sound/emu10k1/emu10k1.o: post-install emu10k1 failed
/lib/modules/2.4.19/kernel/drivers/sound/emu10k1/emu10k1.o: insmod emu10k1 failed
after that I can not get analog audio, while if i set emu-config -d it works regurarly
and naturally when I shut down thw pc, I have to modprobe it again
any suggestion? |

maybe an error with the ebuild... have you tried installing the driver directly from opensource.creative.com ? it might help. To avoid modprobing everytime you boot your machine, but emu10k1 in modules.autoload or other solution, like I do, don't halt or reboot your machine anymore
