|
|
Hi i just came across a article at http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/8308 via osnews, whi discusses the process of optimizing the linux desktop performance !
Well, most of use are not new to the optimizations mentioned, but i thought it just might happen to slip off some minds, or some people mite have forgotten to implement these on their desktops ! hence da post ..
Well, speakin of which , i do not have the file "/proc/sys/vm/swappiness" i'm damn sure i had it in some other previous kernels.. but i'm amazed as of how come i dun have it now.. perhaps thats the reaon why my swap's bein soo used up !
Can sumone suggest me the kernel config to enable this feature again ?
Thanx, Bye.
