I have a problem with /dev/dsp. Note this is not /dev/sound/dsp.
I did a fresh install based on 1.4rc1. I emerged alsa and compiled the stuff into the kernel. Sound basically works (owner of /dev/sound/dsp is root.audio and my user is a member of audio), but the symbolic link in /dev has as owner root.root. If I manually change the owner of the link to root.audio everything is fine but this of course is not persistent, after a reboot the owner is again root.root.
I know how to set the permissions on /dev/sound/*, but where does the info about the link come from? |

Is /etc/devfsd.conf what you're looking for? _________________ "An empty head is not really empty; it is stuffed with rubbish. Hence the difficulty of forcing anything into an empty head."

I don't know, is it? In /etc/devfsd.conf I determine the owner and the permissions of /dev/sound/*, but what about /dev/dsp? If /etc/devfsd.conf is what I am looking for, then where do I set the owner of the link?
