|
|
Hi,
I was wondering if anybody could recommend a simple, nice-looking calender program. I've been using Evolution recently, but it's just a bit too OTT for my needs. That is, rather than organise my time into 1/2hr slots, I'd rather just have a box I could add a few notes for the whole day. I mean, if something did have a specific time, I'd rather just annotate it in my own notes. Some kind of reminder feature might be nice, but again on a whole day basis, not popping up 15 minutes before my "appointment".
I expect most people use their computers for a small amount of personal management, so what do you use??
Thanks,
tom. |

If you use gkrellm (but not gkrellm2 ), you can use the gkrellm-reminder plugin. You have the option for reminders if you want them, if you don't you can click to get a listing of everything that you have to do today.
Now if only someone would port it over to gkrellm2, it'd be perfect for my needs.
If only I had any time to do it... or anything besides papers for that matter... _________________ -- Josh |

You can also use the gnome-pim calendar.
#emerge -p gnome-pim Just to check what it will install. All depends on your USE flags. e.g. -gnome
#emerge gnome-pim This will install the calendar app and an address book. To launch the calendar just:
$gnomecal &
Works very well for me with Fluxbox.
cheers,
