|
|
Hi, i've two servers of apache in my server, the apache2 one on port 80 and the apache working on the port 81. They work fine but the mod_php is giving me problems. When i install mod_php for apache it gets uninstalled for apache2 and when i install it for apache2 gets unistalled for apache.
The solution is start one server and after emerge the mod_php for the other server and start it after, but in the next reboot i need to do the same again.
Exist another solution? I can avoid emerge uninstall one of the copys of mod_php?

well, i am running dev-lang/php5, and apache2 dosnt need mod_php in this case.
i just "tried" an emerge pretend of apache1, and i get this:
Code: |
[ebuild N ] dev-libs/mm-1.4.0 328 kB
[ebuild NS ] net-www/apache-1.3.34-r2 USE="pam ssl" 3,225 kB [1]
[ebuild N ] net-www/mod_ssl-2.8.25-r1 0 kB
|
so my guess is, apache1 doesnt need mod_php either anymore.
so it might be worth trying it out. i guess you are currently using dev-php/php and not dev-lang/php ? |

how could mysql functions change? dont get me wrong.. you are able to keep mysql4!
put your stuff on a local machine and check it out. use mysql4 and dev-lang/php5. that should work. it does here and everywhere else. |

Furthermore, emerge =dev-lang/php-4* would give you PHP4, as dev-lang/php has both PHP versions, and you even can install them both at the same time. _________________ Best regards, Luca. |
