Hallo!!

habe ein kleines Problem. Ich habe ein USB Zip 100. Mit gentoo 1.2 funktionierte alles es soweit recht gut. naja bis auf die tatsache das vor dem booten des Rechners eine Zip im Laufwerk sein musste (lag wohl an devfs). Dieses Problem wollte ich irgendwann dann angehen.

Aber mittlerweile habe ich gentoo 1.4rc1 installiert, ganz neu, kein update und als Kernel den 2.4.19-gentoo-r9. Die Einstellungen für mein Zip habe ich soweit übernommen, sprich in den Kernel compiliert. Hat ja immer wunderbar funktioniert.

Jedoch funktioniert jetzt mein Zip überhaupt nicht mehr. Wenn ich dmesg ausführe

usb.c: registered new driver usbdevfs
usb.c: registered new driver hub
Initializing USB Mass Storage driver...
usb.c: registered new driver usb-storage
USB Mass Storage support registered.
NET4: Linux TCP/IP 1.0 for NET4.0

Jedoch erkennt er nicht mein Zip Laufwerk.

Was kann ich machen. Im Kernel müsste alles soweit drin sein (hat ja früher geklappt). Und weil wir gerade dabei sind. Wie kann ich den alten Fehler,zwingend beim booten eine Zip im Laufwerk haben damit devfs es erkennt und ein device anlegt, umgehen??

Dieser Fehler soll im nächsten Kernel behoben sein.
Lösung = Warten auf 2.4.20
