I installed cedega 4.0 recently and was putzing around with getting Warcraft III to work. Anyway, I had it running beautifully, but then I decided to try to get it to run on a seperate screen, as explained here. Anyway, this method failed miserably and managed to log me out of gnome and give me a checkerboard xfree screen on vt8.

I rebooted, but now whenever I try to run anything with cedega I get
Code:
└(/mnt/storage/games/Warcraft III)-> cedega War3.exe
/usr/lib/transgaming_cedega//winex/bin/wine: can't exec 'War3.exe': error=21

I unemerged cedega, deleted ~/.transgaming*, rebooted and reemerged cedega, but I still get the same error.

I googled the error and got a bunch of solutions like this, but these solutions only apply to Fedora Core 2, right?

This is very frustrating. Does anyone know what could have happened to permanently disable cedega?

Thanks,
Aaron

try to move the game to a partition where you have execute permissions, maybe it works

Yay

I copied the files to my c_drive in my home folder and it seems to be working now. I wonder why it stopped working on the other drive, not to mention that I had execute permissions on the other drive too.

Thanks,
Aaron
