Ok, I'm not the brightest person in the world, but could somebody explain to me why, when a security problem has been found in a package (tetex), and a patch has been made, the ebuild version hasn't been bumped?
As somebody who keeps his system up-to-date by pretty frequent "emerge rsync", "emerge -u world", I would have missed this security fix. One of the reason's I do it is to make sure I'm up-to-date with latest patches...
The only reason I didn't miss it was 'cos I pottered over to forums (yes, I should probably subscribe to gentoo-announce - in fact, I'm just about to do that...).
Maybe I'm missing something about ebuild release versions...? _________________ pihl |

Ok, so in the time it took for me to post my article, the version got updated.
(Unless one of the gentoo mirrors was seriously out of sync.)
tetex is now at -r11 (as I would have expected it to be )
