While attempting to install ALSA with a 2.6.1 kernel I've noticed that the /proc directory has neither /proc/asound nor /proc/pci. Can anyone tell me why these are missing?
Actually once I loaded the sound module the /proc/asound appeared. But I still do not have a /proc/pci. Has it been removed from kernel-2.6? |

/proc/pci is enabled in the kernel config under Bus options.
