Hiya all,
I run Gentoo and OpenBSD side by side. My root partition is about a gig, and my /usr partition is about 15 gigs. Both are ext3. The root mounts fine in OpenBSD but I have problems with /usr.
I searched around and I found out that, for large ext2 filesystems, *BSD requires that you turn off sparse superblocks. "man tune2fs" says that sparse superblocks save space on large filesystems, but is there anything else I should know before I do this? Should I expect to take a performance hit?
Thanks in advance,
