Need help with wine here

Okay...

Ive installed wine here, ive just done:
emerge wine
and emerge xwine

I went to the wine config and changed some patches there, when i finished emerging xwine it asked me to run winesetupk or something like that, but i could not find the program....

Ive never used wine, so if someone could explain me how to do this procedure i would learn a lot from it.

I got a .exe file, its an installer for a game (gunbound)
I would like to run it (install) and later the game
what should i do?
I tryed xwine, and by it the install/unistall stuff but a error occured (the same if i try to run wine /patchtoit/gunboundinstaller.exe

is there something i need to get trogh installshields?

winesetuptk is a separate package, emerge -pv winesetuptk. I haven't used it, but wine should generate a config file for you automatically if you run it without arguments. As for wine and install shield, I suggest using winex for that. I seem to remember winex having licensed some work around for Install Shield, which is part of the reason it's not free. This is not in the public/free/cvs version of winex, but in the binaries available from Transgaming.

Easier than using winex to install is to install it on a windows computer and pull it across the network. Wine handles the voodoo of the virtual registry very well.

ive the source code of winex compiled here, does it help?

One thing ive done is to copy the folder where ive installed it in windows to the fake_windows/program files
but when i try to run, i receive a error message from the game asking me to reinstall it
