status of --update world

Hi

I've just upgraded from 1.2 to 1.4 wich went OK

So before going to bed I did ' emerge --update world --emptytree ' , to recompile everything to the new system.
It started out OK.
But next morning I see that it has failed while compiling arts.
I have no idea when it stopped, so I don't now wich packages has been done.
So now I want to know which packages has been recompiled and which I need to do again.
Is there a log file that will show me this ??

It's maybe a little late, but you might be interested in Dolio's emerge -pe world resuming.

and it's probably not the last time I'll recompile everything ;-)
