Check it out. Among lots of improvments and new features one seems to be really kewl (for me at least) - Icons in menu.
Here is the screenshots - but those icons are ugly I must say, so just take a look to get an idea.

I've made also a fluxbox-0.9.10-mod4.patch - With this patch you can move and resize windows with mouse using "Windows Key" instead of "Alt Key".
I don't know if it is already in portage, cause I compile always on my own. If not you can grab the sources from here.

Have fun! 8)

nice thing, seems very close to fvwm2 now, which is still my favourite.
didn't try the manual compile tho.

errm btw, i guess 0.9.10-r2 < 0.9.10 ?

the one feature that i really want in fluxbox that is in fvwm is when you minimize something the window manager creates a little thumbnail of the actual window and shows it .. :D

It's just a couple of dock apps used w/ slit. Google for "dock apps window maker" to find some sites.

the "slit" is the area where you can put that dockapps into.. and some other also. like gkrellm2. you can adjust the slit (behaviour and position) inside your fluxboxmenu

Check here: http://fluxbox.org/ - at the bottom of the page there is section called "Random Dockapp" - you will find there links to applications which can be docked onto Fluxbox slit.
Some of dockapps dock by default, some require swith (e.g. -w).

If I recall correctly, these are the dockapps you can find on the screenshots:
- wmclockmon
- wmcpuload
- wmmemload
- wmsmixer
- wmnd
- fbpager
