I am trying to copy some CD's that several cd burning packages are not seeing the cd. It just says no CD loaded. I had to windoze to make my copies which worked fine. Could you mount the cd and use something like Code: | dd if /mnt/cdrom / of /home/somebody/filelname.iso | and just burn the iso

What software application are you using to burn the cd? And also, is your cd burner reconized by your system. Set up for a burner is a little different than a normal cd. Try searching the forums. It will probably give your the answers you need

Tried Xcdroast and simplecdr, both are configure correctly and have used both before to copy CD's before. Could the file system on the cd's not be the standared iso9960?

which is normally (AFAIK) for copying Audio CDs, but it also works great for direct cd copies and surly vcds and svcds. |
