I have a Grafite IMac DV 400, I have downloaded both the 2004.0 and the 2004.1 disks and both won't load the network driver. I think that I need tulip but it is not on eiter of the CD's. I have tried to use sungem, gmac, and a couple of others that I found on this fourm but none work. Where is Tulip? |

My iMac 400 DV SE uses sungem (I think) and it works without any trouble. The livecd loaded the right driver at boot. I had to add support for Sun GEM when compiling the kernel (2.6.1-benh1), so make sure you do that.

my 2004.1 CD dosent come with any network modules for some reason, maybe I will try to download another Image and try it. if I use the 2004.0 then it comes with all the modules except for the tulip. I tried Sungem and then I went and tried to bring it up "/etc/init.d/eth0 start" or something like that. I have it writen down, but it comes up and says that it cannot bring up the device because there is no support for it AKA - No Module that is working for it. |
