OK, just doing a make -u world today and the new VIM has an access violation trying to change the permissions on a device file or simething. Postgresql also has access violations but there's another message about that? Is this a problem with the ebuild file or what? Don't people test these things? |

that has to with devfs, just emerge from a virtual console or chmod 777 the device (it will be reset after you close your terminal, since it's dynamic) |

I have no problem hacking around it but I think the emerge should work no matter where you're doing it from. |
