First of all, KDE works beautifully with multiple monitors (although I still can't drag a window from one monitor to the other). However, when I emerged gnome, all I did was switch DISPLAYMANAGER from kdm to gdm in /etc/rc.conf. When I started back up, I got into Gnome. However, there were 2 things wrong.
1) In a terminal, the fonts are terrible. I don't know if this is just default for Gnome or if something is wrong, but they are very difficult to read.
2) The 2nd monitor is just grey. No idea why. No clue what to do.
Thanks in advance if you're able to provide help.

I had that problem with gnome 2.0 but it's gone away now *shrug*

Multihead support will be much improved in 2.2 - not sure how well it works ATM - nautilus and gnome-panel wont work AFAIK _________________ Mark Finlay - Gnome Hacker of Sorts
