ut 2003-demo problem

The installation whent smoothly but when i started the game the problems began. i can change all the preferences in the game but as soon as i try to start a game i closes itself and i get the message

Xlib: extension "XiG-SUNDRY-NONSTANDARD" missing on display ":0.0".
/usr/bin/ut2003-demo: line 30: 31673 Killed ./ut2003_demo

in the terminal.
Anyone who knows what the problem might be feel free to help.

I don't know if you are currently doing this but try running the game from root and see if that gets rid of that error.

What resolution are you trying to run the game in? Make sure you've got this defined in your XF86Config.
