SILO in SunFire 280R

Hi all,

I'm trying to install gentoo version 2004.0 on a SunFire 280R, Sparc system. Unfortunately, I kept getting the error :-

rebooting on boot: boot cdrom
boot device: /pci@8, 700000/scsi@6/disk@6, 0:f File and args:
SILO Fast Data Access MMU Miss

I checked on the Internet and it seems that there's a problem with silo.conf in the gentoo iso, but no solutions were provided on how to solve it. Would appreciate if you could give me some tips on solving this problem.

Thank you very much.

Can you try the newest 2004.1 ISO at http://dev.gentoo.org/~gustavoz/sparc/ ?
Thanks.
